FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ACCOMMODATION

How many people can stay at Branxholm Park?

Branxholm Park includes on-site accommodation in the main house as part of the wedding package. The house sleeps up to 16 adults or teenagers and up to 6 children, so your closest family and friends can stay with you at the venue.

This helps the wedding feel more like a private country house stay than a single-day venue booking, with the people closest to you able to settle in and enjoy the house, grounds and atmosphere.

Is accommodation included in the wedding package?

Yes. On-site accommodation in the main house is included within the Branxholm Park wedding package. This is one of the reasons couples often describe Branxholm as feeling more personal and relaxed than a standard hotel-style wedding venue.

Rather than simply arriving for the day, your closest guests can stay with you and enjoy the wider country house experience.

Who usually stays in the main house?

Most couples use the main house accommodation for their closest family, bridal party or immediate wedding party. It works especially well for the people who are most involved in the wedding morning, the ceremony, the meal and the following breakfast.

The house is private to your wedding, so the stay feels relaxed, personal and exclusive.

What should guests do if they are not staying on site?

Branxholm Park includes on-site accommodation in the house as part of the wedding package, with space for up to 16 adults or teenagers and up to 6 children.

Guests who are not staying on site will need taxis or private transport at the end of the evening, as Branxholm Park is rural and there is no accommodation within safe walking distance. We recommend arranging taxis well in advance so everyone can travel safely and smoothly.

Can guests walk to Branxholm Park at the end of the evening?

Guests who are not staying on site will need taxis or private transport, as Branxholm Park is rural and there is no accommodation within safe walking distance.

We recommend arranging taxis in advance, especially for the end of the wedding evening.

Can we extend our stay to a third night?

A third night may be possible depending on your chosen wedding date and surrounding availability. Please get in touch if you are interested in extending your stay and we can advise what may be possible.

For some couples, adding an extra night can make the wedding feel even more relaxed, especially if guests are travelling from further away.

Can we turn our wedding stay into a mini moon?

Yes. If you would like to extend your time in the Scottish Borders after the wedding, Branxholm Park can recommend beautiful nearby places to stay, including romantic cottage options.

Please ask us directly and we can point you towards suitable accommodation ideas for after your wedding.
